IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference

Apr 14, 2014. | By: Eric Tendian

All IEEE National members are invited to the 50th Annual IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution conference, this April 14th through 17th, at McCormick Place in Chicago! You can attend for free! (valued over $500)

Why attend this conference? For college students:

Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to join us for the popular Collegiate Program! Employers are invited to participate in the Student Job Fair and a variety of exclusive access sponsorship opportunities (see below)! More than 200 students participated in the Collegiate Program at the 2012 T&D event in Orlando! Don’t miss it!

Highlights of the program include a Student Job Fair, a social media fueled frenzy known as the “Infinitely Electrifying Energy Extravaganza (IEEE)” Scavenger Hunt in the exhibit hall, a collegiate reception, eight opportunities to refuel from Monday dinner through Thursday breakfast, a student poster contest with prizes, and a Collegiate/Industry luncheon. These activities will provide networking opportunities with roughly 700 exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals.

Here’s how to attend for free:

  1. Register on the conference website, www.ieeet-d.org (get the early bird student discount and pay $40)
  2. Obtain your confirmation number in the registration receipt (very important)
  3. Fill out the following form to be placed on the reimbursement list: CLICK HERE
  4. Obtain your $40 registration fee reimbursement after attending the conference (IEEE@IIT will contact you)

The last day to register is Friday, March 14th. Only a limited number of students will be given full reimbursements, so sign up ASAP! If we reach the maximum number of students before Friday, the reimbursement form will automatically close. Reimbursements will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to reply to this email and ask them. We highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and sign up today!
